Shopping

Nathan and I decided a few days ago that we should do an angel off the angel tree, so off we went today to do some shopping (which is something we rarely do!). We asked Father before we left to show us the perfect child to buy a gift for. Well, looking through all the angels, I, of course being partial to little boys right now (who could blame me?!), wanted to look through the boy section. Nathan happened to find a 6-year old boy that was listed as disabled, so we both knew right then that is who we were supposed to get. Nathan had the best time shopping for him! "A boy needs to have this...a boy has got to have that..." I actually had to stop him before he got too much out of control! I asked him what is he going to do when he is shopping for his actual son?! So far, all our shopping for Tristan has been at garage sales and consignment shops, which I honestly think is the way to go! I have actually found so many cute camouflage/tractor clothing at places like these :) Anyways...back to our evening... So, afterwards, we treated ourselves to Dairy Queen because I have wanted to try their new peppermint chocolate blizzard -- we both loved it! Definitely worth a try :)

I also went for my 27-week baby check-up today. Heartbeat was 150 and everything looks great :) He's a growing and squirmy boy! 13 more weeks and he will be here!!! Can't wait to meet little Trist!

  1. So sweet of you and Nathan to do that!! I actually went shopping for Laine today (and a couple of things for J&E's future little boy) - it was so much fun!! I have waited a long time for this opportunity!

I can't wait to meet your little Tristan too!!

  2. Rudy--I need to see you!! *hugs* That's such a great idea! I turned to Jarrod last week after seeing a St. Jude's Hospital commercial and told him that I wanted to donate to a children's hospital. We are definitely becoming mommies! :)

I'm glad your appointment went well, and I think you need to post some pics of the stuff y'all have bought for little Tristan! :) (and I have been wanting ice cream for weeks--gonna have to get me some of that soon!!)

  3. Good for you and Nate to do this for this little 6 year old boy!! May God bless him this Christmas through your gift and through others. Hope Nathan got a large peppermint chocolate blizzard and hope Tristan enjoyed his portion, too! :) Love you, Mom
