Moving and Blessings. Strange title but it belongs together...at least in our case. Some people may wonder how moving and moving and moving again can be a blessing, but if you look at it like we do, everytime we have moved, it is because a place has been provided for us. In 5 1/2 years of marriage, and by this Christmas, we will have moved nine times, two being overseas and dealing with another language. Some of the moves have only been two or so months, but short-term or not, preparing for the move is just as cumbersome as any other of our moves. And then in another two years, we will move once again, hopefully to a more permanent place. I'm looking forward to that day! A place to call our own...makes my heart warm thinking about it :)
Anyways, about blessings. Again and again and again, we have been so blessed with where we have lived. In 5 1/2 years, we have had to pay one year of rent, and that was our first year of marriage. Either Nate's job at camp provided housing, our overseas housing was provided for us, people and churches have provided housing for us since being back overseas, etc... For the first time since we've been married, we are currently looking for a place to live when we move to Austin. It's hard and frustrating to find an apartment when you live so far away and you can't drive around and look. However, I told Nate last night, I have no anxiety about finding an apartment because our Father will provide for us as He always has. I asked Nate last night why he thinks that Father has provided for us again and again, and his answer was that it is because our Father is faithful to His children and He has promised to provide for us.
Our Father is good. He promises to be and He never breaks His promises.
You are both so very, very, very right. HE is soooo very good and faithful to His promises, especially when we stay faithful to HIM. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how God does provide for His children. We are praying for affordable housing in your new location and for the strength and energy for "yet" another move. Love to all 3 of you!
ReplyDeleteYes, amen to what Nathan said. God is so faithful to His children! We love you and are praying for this up and coming move to Austin!
